Knitted blankets for baby boxes in Ticino
"Associazione DaRe" prepares baby boxes for expectant mothers on the run. StrickWärme contributes the knitted blankets for this great project.
Knitwear for "Children help children" activities
Together with Swiss primary schools, we support refugee schools in the Middle East by selling knitwear. For this purpose we collect crocheted and knitted potholders, wrist warmers and key rings.
Wool leftovers searched
We continuously collect residual wool and good quality cotton yarns for our knitters.

Great winter aid 2019
From 1 to 31 October we collect caps, scarves, loop scarf, mittens and socks for refugees in northern Italy.
Dolls for orphans in Kenya (April 2019)
Our treasurer Stephan volunteered for two weeks in May 2019 at a school for 800 children in Kimilili in western Kenya and took knitted dolls as a gift for the "special needs" class, i.e. for the small class of disabled children.
Caps for Northern Greece (August 2018)
In northern Greece many fugitives were still stuck or newly arrived. They often lived in containers or tents. We collected homemade caps for all ages.
Knitted dolls for children in Jordan (March 2018)
Im Frühjahr 2018 reiste ein StrickWärme-Team nach Jordanien und besuchte die Kinder des Trauma-Zentrums “Happiness Again” und Kinder im Za’atari Camp. Wir beschenkten die Kinder mit Strickpuppen und Hacky Sacks und brachten ihnen damit ein wenig Freude.
Caps for Syrian Youth (January 2018)
In this project we not only rebuilt a school in northern Syria, but also supplied caps for the 800 children/young people at the school.

Dolls for Jordan and Lebanon (June 2016)
In 2016 we travelled to Lebanon and Jordan. On site, partner schools for refugee children were financially supported. The children were surprised with lovingly knitted dolls.
